NEW: Summer Exchange Opportunities

You can study at either City University of Hong Kong or Monterrey Tec, Mexico during the summer term. When applying for an exchange, simply select the summer term when choosing either of these partner universities.

The Honourable Company of Freeman of the City of London, England Scholarship

Awarded to a graduate or undergraduate student in any program of any year who has been accepted to pursue course work or significant scholarly activity for a minimum of three months at a university or college in Greater London Authority or the City of London, England. Preference will be given to graduate students whose scholarly pursuits would benefit from the opportunity to travel and live in London, England. However, undergraduate students applying for an approved exchange program, study abroad or other international experience to take place at a university or college in London, England also may apply. The Honourable Company will endeavour to introduce the student to a Guild event in the City of London, England.

A student who accepts this award must agree to be contacted, upon return to Canada, by the Honourable Company of Freeman of London, Ontario, and to attend the Annual Dinner of the Honourable Company in Toronto, Ontario and speak briefly on the value of the award.

Value: 1 at $5,000 annually ($1,000 of the award to support travel cost, including the cost of attendance at the Annual Dinner of the Honourable Company in Toronto.)

Awards available to Canadians for graduate study in France

Applications from the field of pure sciences will be prioritized; applications from students in the humanities and social sciences will also be considered, if they include a research component.
The scholarship includes (all amounts are subject to modification):
- A monthly living allowance of 1060€
- Canada-France round-trip, economy-class airfare
- And the following benefits: health insurance; tuition fees for academic program; assistance with registration and visa matters; as well as help finding accommodation

The British High Commission in Canada will be awarding 3 Chevening scholarships this year.

Scholarships last up to one year and are typically granted for Masters degree courses. It is highly unusual for the committee to approve an award for PhD studies. The awards will cover full university tuition fees as well as a generous contribution towards living costs. The approximate value of scholarships will be £20,000 each. Scholarships available for top Canadian graduate students studying abroad.

The Department of Foreign Affairs and International Trade Canada (DFAIT), in co-operation with the Canadian Bureau for International Education (CBIE), is pleased to launch its 2006-07 international scholarship competition. Three competitions are open to Canadians to embark on graduate studies or research abroad: Commonwealth Scholarships, Foreign Government Awards and Organization of American States Scholarships. Overall, up to 50 awards for top Canadian students are expected this year. CBIE administers the three programs on behalf of DFAIT.
