Walk-In Clinics

These are public or private health care establishments that offer general general medical services to the community. An appointment is not usually necessary as you can simply "walk-in" to see a doctor for your health concern. The doctor who is available at the time will see you in the order of your arrival to the clinic. Be aware that depending on the time of day, you may wait a long time to see a doctor as many people use these clinics because of their convenience. You will be required to show your UHIP card and fill out a UHIP claim form during each visit.

Dental Care

Emergency dental treatment is available to the public at the UWO Dental Clinic . An initial screening ($10.00 charge) is conducted first. For subsequent appointments, patients must be prepared to spend approximately three hours per visit. The UWO Dental Clinic is a teaching institution where you will be treated by dental students (who are under the direct supervision of qualified instructors). The dental treatment is not free; however, clinic fees run about two thirds of the amount a private dentist would charge.
