Western's Learning Skills Counsellors can help you decide if a tutor is advisable. Bring course materials in order to discuss course issues in a supportive environment, learn about strategies to deal with specific concerns, and explore ways to improve your overall effectiveness.

Do you want to be a better student? The counsellors and volunteers in the Learning Help Centre can help you achieve your academic goals. The Help Centre provides students with learning skills assistance on a drop-in basis. Some of the issues addressed are:
- time management
- memory techniques
- essay planning
- learning from lectures
- learning from textbooks
- preparing for/writing multiple-choice exams
- problem solving for math and science courses
- writing essay exams
- managing test anxiety
- strengthening concentration
Students can also arrange to complete The Learning and Study Strategies Inventory (LASSI) in the Help Centre. For more information on completing the LASSI, email learning@uwo.ca .
