Volunteer with Learning Skills Services
Each year there are more than 100 volunteer positions available in SDC through the VIP program. Volunteers receive a general orientation to the Student Development Centre as well as specific training for their particular volunteer positions. Approximately ten of these positions are with Learning Skills Services:
- Learning Skills Assistants - up to ten volunteer positions staffing our Learning Help Centre

Volunteers are an essential part of Western's Student Development Centre and greatly increase the amount of support that is available to their peers. In addition, the skills that you can develop and the experiences that you can gain from volunteering can enhance resumés and strengthen applications for employment, professional schools, and graduate school.
